“Foregoing Present”
This project is concerned with time and more appropriately the passing of time. We are so caught up in today's society and in social media applications that we forget to enjoy the present. The best moments are lived and felt, not transmitted or posted.
We forget to look up and around as we concentrate more on phones and social media. This project shows the passing of time, the passing of time through architecture. I created a series of images that combine the modern state of buildings with buildings from the past. Through this combination, I hope to draw attention to the transience of our modern condition.
“It’s strange how time can make a place shrink, make its strangeness ordinary.” – Veronica Roth
