“Borderland 2022”
This video captures a fragment of the Irish border crossings from Donegal to Down. With little signs of life except for lit up hotel signs and chip shops, it is evident that the borderland is a neglected space that continues to be forgotten even when it's played like a pawn in the Brexit game. Forgotten villages and vacant landscapes provide a sense of stillness like nothing has changed since its formation 101 years ago. Despite the turbulent history, it is evident that the invisible line continues to be a space that goes unnoticed by local people on both sides.
