La Vie En Banlieue.
I wanted to create an intimate cinematic body of work that explored my own venerability, to be personal yet open and engaging with my viewer.
‘La vie en banlieue’ Life in the suburbs. I chose to use French in my title to further allude to the idea of romance and the connotations associated with the French language. Evoking a feeling of mystery, a dream like sequence of love fragility and hope, simplifying the beauty in the mundane inducing a sense of Déjà vu within the suburban landscape.
